2010
Fright Planet SACRAMENTO
Casting
Application
We are currently accepting applications for the 2010
Fright Planet "World of Fear" Haunted Houses located in the
Sacramento area.
We are looking for energetic people who want to have a lot
of fun by joining our volunteer team! Positions available
are build crew, cast members, tech crew, and retail
sales/game operator.
BUILD CREW
Are people who will help in setting up the attraction, and
after the season is over, help tear it down. It is a very
fun environment to work in, plus you learn a lot about tool
usage and carpentry along the way. People interested in this
position must be able to work unloading, lifting up to
around 75 lbs., moving things, screwing walls together,
painting, decorating, etc. Electrical or carpentry skills a
plus.
CAST MEMBERS
Haunted Houses provide an easy way into the acting business
and let you play with your skills while still being able to
hide from the mistakes that we will all have. Now if you've
been acting for a while, working at a Haunted House is a
non-stressful environment which you can have a ton of fun
with!
Cast Members include actors and actresses to work inside
(and perhaps outside) the haunted house. No acting
experience is necessary, but we do want you to have fun and
do your best. A love for Halloween is a
plus! Responsibilities will be to memorize a main script for
your character and an understudy script for a different
character. Scripts are around a minute in length and are
very easy to memorize. These will be part of your dialogue
in the haunted house, in your specific scene.
TECH
CREW
These are the fun jobs of working in the haunted house,
while not needing to interact with people. Most of these
jobs are behind the scenes controlling props, electronics,
effects, lights, or sound. It's the people who make things
run smoothly. It's a great place to start working if you're
not too comfortable with acting.
RETAIL SALES /
GAME OPERATOR
Retail sales involve selling items such as souvenirs,
snacks, glow sticks, magic tricks, and Halloween
merchandise. Game operator positions involve being in charge
of a specific attraction game. These are not scare
positions, but you must be in a costume appropriate to the
theme that we will provide. Those interested should get
along well with the public, be familiar with money handling,
and cash register operations.
We look for people who can show up on time, be able to
work on the weekends at least, have transportation to and
from work, and simply love the Halloween season! If you
think this is for you, please take the time to fill-out our
simple form below. Our Casting Director will be in contact
with you shortly.
